Introducing the Gaslight Grill Executive Chef, Thom Zoog. Chef Thom is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of American in Hyde Park, New York. Honing his skills at some of the top restaurants in Dallas including Actuelle with Master Chef Victor Gielisse, Rough Street Cafe with renowned Chef Stephan Pyles and with one of Wolfgang Puck’s personally trained Chefs, Steve Singer, Thom then went on to the Scottsdale Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa at Gainey Ranch and the Scottsdale Princess where he excelled in the resort’s renowned AAA 5 Diamond Marquesa Restaurant. After this formal education and training, he moved to St. Louis where he owned and operated several award winning restaurants including Portabella, Shiitake Restaurant and Bar, Luciano’s Tratoria and Kilkenneys Pub.
Chef Thom has now joined the team at the Gaslight Grill where his vision for the culinary direction is contemporary aged steak and fresh seafood grill utilizing local seasonal products. Chef Thom’s approach of sourcing the best available products in a style that highlights the superior quality of the food has been well received. Chef Thom says, “The owner, Dick Hawk, wants the food to equal the hospitality and jazz environment. The new menu will focus on American food with an international influence and a Midwest mentality”.
